Wonder Woman will become the first female superhero to have a roller coaster named after her and the ride will be making history in another way!
The ride will be the first “single-rail” IBox track coaster in the world, meaning it will ride on a single track instead of the normal two rails like other coasters.
“I expect it to be crazy smooth,” Larry Chickola, Six Flags VP and chief corporate engineer, told USA Today in a statement. “And crazy fun. There will be extremely quick twists and turns – quicker and smoother than regular coasters.”
There will only be eight seats in each train and riders will ride in single file with no one on their left or right. Not only will the riders not see anyone on either side of them, they also won’t see the track!
Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Caster will open next spring at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio.
