'Walking Dead' Halts Production After Stuntman Injured On Set
Production has stopped on the hit series The Walking Dead after stuntman John Bernecker was injured during an accident on set.
John reportedly fell more than 20 feetfrom a balcony to a concrete floor on Wednesday (July 12) and suffered a serious head injury, according to THR.
Bernecker is currently being treated in intensive care at Atlanta Medical Center.
“We are saddened to report that John Bernecker, a talented stuntman for The Walking Dead and numerous other television shows and films, suffered serious injuries from a tragic accident on set,” an AMC spokesperson said in a statement. “He was immediately transported to an Atlanta hospital and we have temporarily shut down production. We are keeping John and his family in our thoughts and prayers.”
