Lady Gaga's Super Bowl Halftime Show Got Six Emmy Noms!
Lady Gaga had something big to celebrate today – her Super Bowl Halftime Show was nominated for six Emmy Awards!
The halftime show broke the record for most Emmy nominations of any halftime show. Katy Perry‘s received three nominations and two wins in 2015, Bruno Mars‘ got two noms in 2014, and Beyonce‘s got three nods in 2013.
Gaga‘s halftime show is nominated for Outstanding Special Class Program and it’s up against the 2016 Tony AwardsHairspray Live, and the 2017 Oscars.
Other nominations that the halftime show received included Outstanding Music Direction; Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety Series or Special; Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control for a Limited Series, Movie, or Special; Outstanding Production Design for Variety, Nonfiction, Event, or Award Special; and Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction for a Variety Special.
