Kendall & Kylie Jenner Apologize for Shirts Featuring Tupac & Biggie's Images
Kendall and Kylie Jenner have released a joint statement apologizing for the t-shirts they created featuring the images of late rappers Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G.
The young stars created clothing that had their own faces worked into a design featuring other artists, including the two rappers. Biggie‘s mom spoke out slamming the Jenners for not contacting the late rapper’s estate for permission first.
“These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologize to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artists,” the Jenner sisters said in their statement on Twitter. “We are huge fans of their music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in anyway. The tee shirts have been pulled from retail and all images have been removed. We will use this as an opportunity to learn from these mistakes and again, we are very sorry.”
