Powers Boothe Dead - Emmy Winner & 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Actor Dead at 68
Character actor Powers Boothe has passed away at the age of 68.
“Powers died in his sleep this morning of natural causes. There will be a private service held in Texas where he was from. A memorial celebration in his honor is being considered for a future date. Donations can be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation, which honors the nation’s defenders, veterans, first responders, their families and those in need,” his publicist said in a statement (via The Wrap).
Powers won the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series for his portrayal of Jim Jones in Guyana Tragedy: The Story of Jim Jones back in 1980.
You may also recognize him from roles in NashvilleHatfields & McCoys, Deadwood, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
