Jimmy Fallon gave an in depth interview about some of his recent controversies, including alleged issues with alcohol and his lighthearted and playful Donald Trump interview before the election.
On the allegations that he’s had a drinking problem for years, “I could never do a day-to-day job if I was drinking every night. That’s just kicking you when you’re down,” Jimmy told the New York Times. The rumors began when Jimmy had a terrible accident where he almost lost his finger.
On the Trump interview, which you can see in the link above, Jimmy said, “[People] have a right to be mad…If I let anyone down, it hurt my feelings that they didn’t like it. I got it…I almost did it to minimize him. I didn’t think that would be a compliment: ‘He did the thing that we all wanted to do.’”
Jimmy continued, “I tossed and turned for a couple of weeks, but I have to make people laugh. People that voted for Trump watch my show as well.”
